Prepare schema based on cost estimation

Developing and maintaining a television broadcast is an expensive undertaking. Thus planning, budgeting and forecasting are crucial processes for every TV station. However, this process can be highly complex and there is a high probability of errors. So where do you start when budgeting your money? The short answer is PROVYS, where you can follow different cost types for different content (your own productions, news, purchases or archive). The groundwork for the annual financial plans for television scheduling is a scheme. For every transmission scheme slot, the cost and income estimations are made. This information. together with broadcasting time per category, serve as the basis for production planning, programme library assessment and purchasing decisions. You can easily predict the cost and calculate how much of the content can be used from the current programme library, and what would have to be newly acquired or additionally produced. Budgeting in PROVYS based on a multi-criteria decision making helps to identify wasteful expenditures, adapt to financial changes quickly, and achieve financial goals. The budgeting tool is flexible. Based on your needs, you can choose the level of complexity - from Simple Budgeting to Annual Limits Budgeting and Scheme Budgeting.

Budgetary forecasting

First, attach budget estimations for spending costs and the limits for production or acquisitions in the following categories - per-minute, per-transmission and one-off costs for both regular and irregular scheme slots. And then get the total value according to the expected number of transmissions and duration calculated from the slot strip.

Flexible level of complexity

Choose your own way to use our budgeting tool. It´s up to you if you just want to specify the cost estimation of each scheme slot and then simply compare them with used content. Or, get the maximum from the most complex scheme budgeting functionality.

Multi-criteria analysis and reports

Get beneficial and valuable information on your content. Use either the built-in pivot tables or run a wide array of reports. Analysis according to channel, season, time zone, content category and other criteria is there for you.
